This is from the 1937 animation "Mickey's Amateurs" (Originally entitled "Mickey's Amateur Concert"). In this short film cartoon Micky Mouse hosts an amateur talent radio show in front of a live audience during which Mickey ends poor performances by banging a gong. We include a still from this animation right at the point of this exact drawing, which can be found on YouTube. This work is from that film's amateur show's final act when Mickey introduces Goofy and his "50-piece band, " which turns out to be a multi-instrumental device on wheels. Goofy begins with "In the Good Old Summer Time" and moves on to "There'll Be a Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight", but the tempo and intensity of the song destroys the machine.
