The animated film "How to Fish, " produced in 1942 by Walt Disney Productions, now known as The Walt Disney Company, Goofy tries to catch a fish, but his many attempts are foiled. The art for this serigraph cel was carefully selected by Disney artists from the original animation drawing used to produce "How to Fish" as well as from film refence materials, Disney artists have translated the original image to hand-inked cels. The serigraphy artisans at Chicago Serigraphic Workshop created seventeen separate screens, one for each individual color, from which the edition was printed, one color at a time. By using this meticulous serigraph process, the hand-crafted quality of an original cel was achieved. This limited edition is comprised of 9,500 unnumbered serigraph cels.
As is the custom in fine art print-making, the silkscreens used to create the edition were destroyed when the edition was completed. And, just as an original print must bear the artist's signature to ensure authenticity, each of these serigraph cels bears the distinctive seal of the Walt Disney Company. Size: 20" x 16.5".
