Limited Edition Minnie Loves Mickey Framed Serigraph The Walt Disney 21x17

Since 1928, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse have appeared together in over 70 Disney car-toons. "Minnie Loves Mickey" is based on one of the rarest of their films, Mickey's Surprise Party. This animated cartoon was made especially for the 1939 World's Fair, and has seldom been shown since. The art for this serigraph cel was carefully selected from the original animation drawings used to produce Mickey's Surprise Party.

The master print of the film was used as a color guide. The serigraphy artists at Chicago Serigraphic Workshop created eleven clear sheets of mylar, one for each individual color, to give this serigraph a handcrafted quality like that of an original cel. This limited edition is comprised of 9,500 seri-graph cels. As is the custom in fine art print-making, the silkscreens used to create the edition were destroyed when the edition was completed.

And, just as an original print must bear the artist's signature to ensure authenticity, each of these serigraph cels bears the distinctive serigraph seal of The Walt Disney Company.
