Goofy Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1941). Eyes should be kept to the front because objects sometimes appear with amazing suddenness. Says longtime Goofy narrator John McLeish. Offered here is an original hand-inked, hand-painted trimmed production cel of Goofy holding on to a tree to slow down after he has attempted the slalom in the short film.

This short gave birth to the Goofy "How To" series which would eventually lead to Goofy being named Disney's Sports Ambassador nearly four decades later. It released on 11/14/1941, directed by Jack Kinney, and opens with Goofy going to the Sugar Bowl Ski Resort that Walt Disney had a real-life interest in. This resort even had a Mount Disney.

" Spotted near the 6:25 mark, Goofy appears in a fantastically fun full-figure image, with a character size of 3.25" x 2.25 holding tight to an absolutely massive uprooted tree. The cel is featured on a Courvoisier custom hand-painted background with the WDP stamp in the bottom right corner. The setup is presented in a beautiful frame with an overall measurement of 18.5" x 17" and aperture of 8.75" x 7.5". The nitrate cel shows rippling, and is in Good condition overall.
