Walt Disney Pig Weather Wizard England 1935 Faux Tortoise Shell Frame WallHanger

THE ITEM DESCRIPTION: Walt Disney's Three Little Pigs Weather Wizard made in England in the 1930s. The Pig Weather Wizard measures 7 ¼ high & is a framed oval made to hang on the wall. Marked By Permission Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Ltd.

The frame is faux tortoise shell. The hanging ring in the back attached to the card stock backing with a ribbon is also faux tortoise shell.

The cardboard figure of the Disney Pig sits on top of the clear celluloid cover. The Weather Wizard forecasts the weather by changing the color of the Pig's neck scarf. The neck scarf is paper & much of it is now missing.

The paper was treated with a chemical to respond to atmospheric changes inside the house. The effect of the chemical has long since been dispersed. What remains of the neck scarf is permanently lilac indicating variable weather. A fun thing for a kid's room circa 1935 & still a fun thing for a collector of Disneyana. Excellent original condition with the exception of the partially missing paper scarf. I also have for sale a Mickey Mouse Weather Wizard.
