Walt Disney's Snow White and Doc LE 9,500 (11x14) Animation Serigraph Cel 1987

Walt Disney's "SNOW WHITE and DOC " 50th Anniversary Serigraph Cel Framed Art - Limited Edition 9,500 (21" x 17") with COA Circa 1987. This is a MINT, Limited Edition Serigraph of Snow White and Doc. This commemorative serigraph CEL was celebrating Snow White and the Seven Dwarf's 50th anniversary.

On the lower right corner of the cel, Disney has their authentication Seal with 50th Anniversary of a Walt Disney Classic. In the top left hand corner of the mat, Disney a special "remarqing" of the seven dwarfs. Certificate of Authenticity is provided on the back of the frame.

This serigraph comes with double matting in a shiny gold frame with glass. The frame is in good condition. The cel inside and Disney Anniversary matting is perfect. In very good to excellent. Please see all photos as they are an important part of this description.

Cel measures 14 inches x 10 inches. Framed cel measures 21-1/4 inches x 17-1/4 inches. In 1937, the first full-length animated film, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" was released by Walt Disney Studios. This classic film, which took nearly four years to create, was a spectacular success and revealed animation as a new art form. Critics referred to it as "Disney's finest moment" and the film received a special Academy Award. The art for the serigraph cel, "Snow White and Doc" was carefully selected from the original animation drawings used to create Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The master print of the film was used as a color guide. The serigraphy artists at the Chicago Serigraphy Workshop created seventeen clear sheets of mylar, one for each individual color, to give this serigraph a hand-crafted quality like that of an original cel. This limited edition is comprised of 9,500 serigraph cels. As is the custom in fine art print-making, the silk screens used to create the editions were destroyed when the edition was completed. And, just as an original print must bear the artist's signature to ensure authenticity, each of these serigraph cels bears the distinctive serigraph seal of The Walt Disney Company. "Snow White and Doc" serigraph cel is fragile and should always be framed under plexiglas or glass. This certificate can be affixed to the back of the frame.
